Another popular area to mount the ScanGauge is just below the dash. This keeps it out of the sun and plain view of prying eyes. One of the best ideas is to use a goose neck mount. This way you can twist and turn it as needed. Look to the right of the ScanGauge and you can see the goose neck design. This one was custom built by a SmartCarsofAmerica.com forum member. A company called Akron also makes something similar. You can find them at gpscheap.com. The model I am referring to are the passenger seat frame models. This could easily be adapted to screw into the large screw just behind the cup hold in the Smart. Link to product
