Info about our various travels around the globe:

I have ported over most of the content from my old blog. Check out our travels here and of course take a look at all of our photos on Flickr. This section of the site is more traditional with individual pages vs. blog posts. For ease of editing I may initial create blog posts while on the road and then port them here.

We love to travel. I especially enjoy Europe. I would say our most exotic trip was to Roatan, Honduras in 2007. We were supposed to head to Alaska but the weather was so bad we bailed to the jungle! Roatan is now going to be a permanent  Plan B destination. Lots of stuff still to do there.

“It’s gonna be a celebration b!tches!” – Rick James (Really Dave Chapelle) – We headed back to Europe in April to celebrate 10 years of blissful marriage. Ha! We spent most of our time in Croatia. Specifically in Split and Dubrovnik. What a great country. Nice people, good food, decent beer, and incredible views. What more could you ask for. So take a chance and skip the “known” destinations in Europe and head to Croatia!

Slovenia!

We just got back form a great trip in Slovenia. We spent just under a week there. We flew into Vienna and out of Amsterdam (via Vienna) to get home. Slovenia is a great place. Small, friendly people and you can still travel on a budget. It is called “little Europe” because they have a little bit of everything. Mountains, small coast, white water rafting, and several under appreciated wine regions. Just a 3.5 to 4 hour drive from Vienna. I am working on my full brief but if you …

Well ExpressJet branded is no more! I flew my last flight on September 1st. It was the final flight from Colorado Springs to Sacramento. Lots of people losing their jobs and I am getting shipped off to Cleveland. Flying for ExpressJet will never be the same.
Thanks for everyone who flew ExpressJet over the past 17 months. You helped us attempt to create a better airline. You can thank oil prices, Wall Street, and other items which I cannot mention for shutting ExpressJet down.
Watch a video about the last flight from …

Quick Trip to Germany

[26 Jun 2008 | Comments Off | ]

Well I escaped last week to Germany. Got back this past Monday. The reason for the trip was to pay a visit to Berlin, a city I haven’t been to since 1996, and watch some Europe 2008 Soccer! Weather was great. I arrived a week ago today and was able to see Germany beat Portugal in the quarter finals. Great time in Weimar. We then went to Berlin on Friday eve where I stayed the rest of the time. My friends Albert and Tina took very good care of me. …

Playing around with TomTom

[22 May 2008 | Comments Off | ]

Just bought a TomTom 920 GPS from Costco, $299.00 (Good deal) Now it’s time to learn everything about it. Two great features are using Google Maps and creating your own POI (Points of Interest) databases. For now I will just show you my POI example. This will let you download all of the Arizona Federal Credit Unions into your TomTom device. I will also add how to use Google Maps with TomTom.
So click the button if you want to download these locations.
